CARLA International understands the importance of the social, cultural and political context in project and programme design, and operates an approach that is based on building a thorough understanding of these issues. Through the use of situation analysis, participatory consultation and ethnomethodology, CARLA International aims to provide an understanding of the impact that development initiatives will have on particular groups, in order to develop a strategy that offers a holistic and sustainable means for communities to reduce poverty and improve their wellbeing.
