About us
CARLA International3D is a development organisation that provides expertise for the design and implementation of projects and programmes aimed at responding to the highest priority needs of marginalised communities. We take a strong social development perspective through the use of our Sustainable Livelihood and Wellbeing framework, and are focused on reducing risk and vulnerability, improving food security, improving livelihood options, and supporting the sustainable use of the environment.
CARLA International3D understands the importance of the social, cultural and political context in project and programme design, and operates an approach that is based on building a thorough understanding of these issues. Through the use of situation analysis, participatory consultation and ethnomethodology, CARLA International aims to provide an understanding of the impact that development initiatives will have on particular groups, in order to develop a strategy that offers a holistic and sustainable means for communities to reduce poverty and improve their wellbeing.

We are dedicated to helping people transform their own lives, and believe that developing livelihood options into sustainable business initiatives is the way forward. The poor stand to benefit from their inclusion in small, medium and large private sector ventures as producers and as consumers, and CARLA International
3D works with communities, organisations and businesses to meet this end.
